Yasmin® is designed for women to help prevent pregnancy.

Take one tablet orally at the same time each day. Skipping doses or taking them incorrectly can increase the chances of failure.

For optimal contraceptive effectiveness, Yasmin should be taken as instructed, following the sequence on the blister pack. If a pill is missed, it should be taken as soon as it is remembered.

Patients should start taking Yasmin either on the first day of their menstrual period (referred to as Day 1 Start) or on the first Sunday following the beginning of their menstrual period (known as Sunday Start).
