Nandrolone, also referred to as 19-nortestosterone or nandrolone decanoate, is an anabolic steroid derived from testosterone that the human body may produce in limited amounts after intense or extended exercise.
The synthetic version of nandrolone was created in the 1950s, but it was not commercially available until 1962 when it was introduced as decanoate under the brand name Deca-Durabolin by Organon.
