SUBSTANCE Methyldrostanolone ,

– a registered name for the anabolic steroid Methyldrostanolone.

Known as Metasteron, this steroid is a potent oral anabolic agent that was never marketed as a commercial medical product.

Its chemical structure closely resembles that of Masteron (Drostanolone).

The main distinction is the presence of a 17 alpha-methyl group, which enhances the steroid's oral bioavailability.

In many cases, 17 alpha-alkylation alters the steroid's characteristics, but in this instance, it does not.

Like its parent compound Drostanolone, Superdrol does not aromatize, which means both steroids do not exhibit estrogen-related side effects. Additionally, they maintain a very favorable ratio of anabolic to androgenic effects.

Laboratory research indicates that Superdrol's anabolic activity is four times more potent than that of oral Methyltestosterone and has an anabolic-to-androgenic ratio of 20:1.

When tested, Masteron demonstrated that it is just as effective as Testosterone as an anabolic agent, but has only 25-40% of its androgenic effects. Although still considered a solid anabolic steroid, its effective ratio is 3:1 instead of 20:1.

The effective Superdrol dosage for men generally begins at 10-20 mg per day. At this dosage, it yields a good anabolic effect, often resulting in fat loss and improved muscle definition. However, users should not expect to gain 10-15 kg; typically, the increase is around 5-7 kg of quality weight when used alone.

Some individuals find that higher doses, up to 30 mg, can enhance the drug's effectiveness. However, higher doses also increase the risk of hepatotoxicity. For many, a better approach is to use 20 mg of Superdrol daily in conjunction with a non-toxic injectable steroid, such as Nandrolone or Boldenone.

Alternatives like injectable Primobolan or Trenbolone could also be considered for cycles, rather than adding more 17-alpha alkylated anabolic steroids.

Due to its high anabolic-to-androgenic ratio, Superdrol might be of interest to female bodybuilders. It is less androgenic compared to popular options like Winstrol and Primobolan, with Anavar (Oxandrolone) being the closest comparator, exhibiting an anabolic-to-androgenic ratio of 30:1.

Nonetheless, Superdrol warrants attention. One major concern for women using it is the relatively high dosage per tablet (10 mg). Women may want to start with lower doses of 1-2 mg daily.

While this approach might be uncomfortable, it could still prove effective. As with all steroids, there is a risk of virilization.

It's important to recognize the potential risk of liver damage when using 17 alpha-alkylated oral steroids. The optimal cycle length for Superdrol is often considered to be 4-6 weeks, although some bodybuilders extend their use to 8 weeks. This stems from the belief that Superdrol is less hepatotoxic compared to Oxymetholone, Dianabol, and Winstrol.

However, it should be noted that this belief is misleading.

Superdrol is indeed a powerful oral anabolic steroid, proving to be an effective compound with an advantageous anabolic-to-androgenic ratio. Nonetheless, the possibility of liver damage remains significant if misused.
