The primary method for managing high eye pressure, a crucial and manageable risk factor for those with glaucoma, involves using prescription eye drops like LUMIGAN® 0.01% ophthalmic solution. This medication is specifically intended for patients suffering from open-angle glaucoma or those with ocular hypertension.

LUMIGAN® (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.01% is indicated for lowering high intraocular pressure (IOP) in individuals with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

The recommended dosage is one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening. It is important not to exceed this frequency, as using LUMIGAN® (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.01% more than once a day can reduce its effectiveness in lowering intraocular pressure. Pressure reduction typically begins around 4 hours after the first dose, with maximum effect occurring between approximately 8 to 12 hours later.
